GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
|
MAIN PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of PM and Health Officer, he/she will assist in the implementation of the project activities, follow routine data collection and reporting; prepare weekly statistical morbidity and mortality reports, Health & Nutrition and CHVs reports and immunization data from Health Centers and mobile units (medical doctors, nurses, midwives and vaccinators). |
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: |
Duties and Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Health officer prepares quantitative and qualitative reports of all health and nutrition activities according to donor and MoPH reporting guidelines.
- Verify that all reported data is being collected properly and according to reporting templates (indicator tracking/Data entry), M&E plans are followed, tools are used, and processes are correct.
- Ensure report formats are used properly and all reports are submitted on time, followed up on, and finalized in a timely manner and support where issues arise to mentor and improve over time.
- Support to general logistics related to the project activities.
- Follow up on procurement of supplies and stationary for the project activities as procurement policy.
- Assist Health staff in facilitation of regular trainings for team members to strengthen their skills in areas of health and nutrition service provision.
- Follow up drug distribution and consumption in comparison with reported cases managed.
- Follow up CHVs awareness sessions provision on monthly and weekly basis and receive registration logs of beneficiaries.
- Monitor the activities of the Mobile Clinics and Health facilities.
- Send daily data received from the Mobile Clinics and HFs to the M&E and Health officer.
- Follow up with the Mobile Clinics and HFs with any needs (drugs, consumables) and inform the Health Officer accordingly
- Maintain close contact and coordination with District Health Office (DHO).
- In liaison with Health team ensure the availability of all medical supplies required to treat the severely and moderately malnourished children and pregnant and lactating women in the area of operations
- Report any problems in a timely manner to the health officer.
- Active participation in activities on field level and ensure the project activities as per plans.
- Weekly visit to all HFs, for assessment work and training staff.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Performance appraisal:
- Based on the Objectives & Competencies Require by the project.

Required Qualifications: |
- Hold diploma in nursing or medical assistant or relevant fields.
- Has minimum one year of experience working on similar positions
- Ability to effectively communicate with a health and nutrition team
|
Skills / Knowledge:
- Self-motivated, results-driven and excellent sense of organization
- Good writer – ability to develop high quality reports and accurately analyze M&E data
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions quickly and independently
- Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations.
- Ability to relate to and effectively motivate staff
- Ability to represent the Agency in high level meetings with local government
- Good in computer applications, especially with Word and Excel, PowerPoint a plus.
Previous Training:
- Have got training in H&N at least (CMAM,IMCI)
