Closing ceremony of the food assistance for training FFT activity in Bani Suraim district, Amran governorate
As part of the project to improve livelihoods and enhance resilience, Building Foundation for Development, in partnership with the World Food Program and in cooperation with the Technical Education and Vocational Training Office in Amran Governorate, organized a closing ceremony for the food assistance for training FFT activity for 450 beneficiaries in Bani Suraim district.
Productive exhibition of the beneficiaries’ products
The ceremony was opened by a speech by the Director of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Office in the governorate, Amin Al-Didi, and another speech by the Director of the Branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation in the governorate, Hamir Al-Saer, in which they confirmed:
- The importance of holding such exhibitions that highlight the capabilities and creativity of the beneficiaries of the food assistance activity in various fields.
- Their commitment to support and encourage the participants in developing their products and finding marketing opportunities for them.
- Their gratitude to the partners in implementing this project, especially Building Foundation for Development and the World Food Program.
Then, the attendees toured the exhibition that displayed the products of the beneficiaries of the FFT activity, which included:
- Sewing and tailoring products, such as dresses, costumes, covers and curtains.
- Incense and perfume making products, such as ointments, zabad and fragrances.
- Handicrafts products, such as baskets, dishes and decorations.
- Leather bags making products, such as bags, wallets and shoes.
The attendees expressed their admiration for the quality, diversity and innovation in the products, and encouraged the beneficiaries to continue developing and producing.
The beneficiaries expressed their happiness and gratitude for the project and the partners, and confirmed that these trainings helped them acquire new skills and increase their confidence in themselves and their ability to improve their livelihoods and face challenges.
Closing of the ceremony
The ceremony concluded with a speech by the director of Building Foundation for Development, who praised the constructive cooperation with the partners in implementing this project, and the efforts and will that the beneficiaries showed in learning and producing.
He confirmed that this project aims to:
- Improve livelihoods and enhance resilience for vulnerable families in Bani Suraim district.
- Provide food assistance for training FFT as an incentive for participation in training activities.
- Empower beneficiaries to launch small and medium projects that use their products as marketing goods.
- Support beneficiaries with guidance, follow-up and evaluation to ensure the quality of their products and sustainability of their projects.
Finally, he thanked all the attendees for their attendance and participation in this ceremony, and expressed his hope to continue cooperation and partnership in the future.
